Biography

Born in Aichi, Japan in 1971.

His father's profession was a graphic designer and illustrator.
His father's simple and lovely style of artwork lined the walls and desks...
It was my first contact with art.

An aesthetic for simple finishes and an inquisitive mind for pretty art was nurtured from an early age.

From childhood, his favorite pastime was drawing.
Art was the only thing that was valued in school during my elementary school years.
It was around this time that he began to realize that he was an artist.

When he was 12 years old, his mother started running an art gallery.
He began to see a variety of paintings and prints.
Through these experiences, he strongly realized that what he liked the most was simple art.
She came to believe that simple, uncomplicated art has the ability to ease people's minds.

From junior high school on, I was forced to live a life far removed from art, which prohibits the expression of one's individuality.

He became apathetic about art and eventually quit painting.

As an adult, he began modifying motorcycles as a hobby.
Then, an idea came to him,
The same sense of freedom that I had when I was drawing as a child came back to me.
From childhood, he had always wanted to do what he liked to the fullest, and this trait led him to start a motorcycle parts manufacturing and sales business.
Finally, he started a business of manufacturing and selling motorcycle parts.
In 1995, he opened Panda Motorcycle Co.

He led his business to success with his unique sense of style and free ideas, just like painting a picture.

He later started a family and was blessed with four children.
He read picture books to his children,
As she read to her children and saw their free creations
She developed an inquiring mind for cuteness and an intense desire to create her own art.

She wanted to create artwork that would be seen by others,
I entered an art competition that caught my attention.
In 2019, he won the Grand Prix in the Sapporo Recycled Art Competition.
He won the Silver Prize in the Karakuri category at the Toyama International Picture Book Grand Prix Competition.

These two awards further fueled his fascination with the world of art, and he began the challenge of becoming active in the world of art.

I was searching for my own unique way of expression in contemporary art.

Then he met Gibon Sengai, known for his Zen-like ink paintings.
He was impressed by the works of Gibon Sengai, a Zen monk painter from the Edo period, known for his Zen-like ink paintings.
There was a familiarity, simplicity, and cuteness that I liked.

I tried my hand at sumi-e painting.
I fell in love with sumi ink. It is silky yet powerful.
The free lines expressed by the ink flowing freely on the Japanese paper.
I was searching for another way to express sumi-e as a contemporary art, and I came up with my own unique technique.

He named this technique "Black Flow", which is a technique of pouring sumi ink into a bottle without using a brush.
He also came up with a technique for cutting and spraying cardboard, which he named "Cardboard Screen.
By combining both techniques, he established his current style.

Free ideas, free techniques, and one-of-a-kind individuality.
